The pedestrian mall on B Street seems like a near complete failure. I see more businesses closing and fewer people eating outside. On a Monday afternoon the street felt like a ghost town.

Richard - I couldn't agree with you more. It's a ghost town most of the time now and they always have/had the option to close it for special events - which they did and that worked well. I wrote the City Council about the very point you are making, even noting that cars often block the 2nd and 3rd street intersections to drop off people in walkers or on crutches so they can be closer to wherever they are going on B Street because they can't park on B Street anymore. Their response to my note was to spend money on a street mural instead. It's a giant headscratcher. No logic. Thanks for bringing attention to it again.
