smdailyjournal.com is the interactive, online version of the San Mateo Daily Journal, the Peninsula's independent, locally owned daily newspaper.
The Daily Journal is published six days a week, Monday through Friday, plus a Saturday-Sunday Weekend edition. The newspaper is distributed throughout San Mateo County and northern Santa Clara County, and worldwide through smdailyjournal.com
Our mission is to be the most accurate, fair and relevant news source on the San Francisco Peninsula. We report to you, our readers, and choose to remain independent and committed to established principles of truth, responsibility and responsiveness as we reflect our diverse and ever-changing community.

Our partners include the County of San Mateo and the cities of Atherton, Belmont, Brisbane, Burlingame, Colma, Daly City, East Palo Alto, Foster City, Half Moon Bay, Menlo Park, Millbrae, Pacifica, Redwood City, San Bruno, San Carlos, San Mateo, South San Francisco, and the towns of Hillsborough, Portola Valley, Woodside, along with other private and public organizations.
