Editor,

Last Friday on Pride Night at Oracle Park in San Francisco, three Giants pitchers inscribed an anti-gay Bible verse on their Pride caps, and a fourth declined to wear the cap. Major League Baseball slapped the players on the wrist, citing this discriminatory act as a uniform violation. The Giants issued a milquetoast apology, but the message from that evening to our LGBTQ+ neighbors and the people who support them is clear.

OK Janet, I can't tell what your doctorate means but quoting the Trevor Project about the psychological state of these youths is a baked in conclusion. The Project does not differentiate between other possible causes of suicide tendencies that are germane to all youths. Hammering on the uniqueness of your community is a turn off for many, hence their refusal to wear these caps. Has it occurred to you that seeing these rainbow colors on a cap can be objectionable to others?

Janet, I would guess you are in favor of abortion and a woman's choice. All people should be allowed to have their own opinions without individuals like you implying they are wrong or bigoted. Perhaps the high propensity to consider suicide for LGBQT children is due to public education force feeding innocent children the LGBQT agenda? Confusion comes what children being brainwashed, not from a child's natural curiosity. Consequently the blame should be on public education and doctors like yourself.

Include the news media in the blame-game. It repeats what the activists give them. The hat story is a perfect example: the pride people raise the issue and make a news agenda item. Next up is the reaction followed by branding those opposing as bigots or "anti." Works every time. Remember the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence and the Dodgers?

The good news is: "Florida AG has launched a civil rights investigation into MLB's warning to Christian pitchers over Pride Night caps'. Missouri is right behind Florida. Like true democrats, MLB shows their hypocrisy by selectively enforcing its own rules. Good luck MLB, perhaps MLB"s anti-trust exemption should be rescinded?

CAIB - actually it is the DOJ which is looking into it. Our local hero, Harmeet Dillon, is heading it up.
