The letter “Another side to voter ID” (5/27/26) is delusional regarding voter fraud. There has been no evidence of significant voter fraud — by mail, from ineligible immigrants, or in any other form. Repeat: no evidence. Nothing more than a few isolated incidents.
But here we have yet another person gullible enough to believe the fear-mongering BS about voter fraud and the natterings of a pathological liar, the point being to make people think it’s important to enact new requirements that are unnecessary and will, in fact, make it more difficult for many properly registered voters to vote. And most of those affected would just happen to be Democrats. I might point out that Trump himself has voted by mail.
And while there may be dead people on the voter rolls (people die and they can’t keep the rolls up to the minute), those people aren’t voting ... because they’re dead. And there’s no evidence of significant issues with people voting in their names.
Here we go again… To paraphrase Shakespeare, “Mr. Wright doth protest too much, methinks” in regards to the need for voter ID. Here we have Mr. Wright pushing the tired and fake news “no evidence of voter fraud” talking point. We all know there is voter fraud and with more and more articles highlighting voter fraud each day. Folks on the left just need the courage to read those articles.
