Editor,
I am running as a write-in candidate for San Mateo County Supervisor District 2 because I believe voters should always have a meaningful choice.
Editor,
I am running as a write-in candidate for San Mateo County Supervisor District 2 because I believe voters should always have a meaningful choice.
My life story is rooted in struggle, perseverance and gratitude. I grew up in a working-class immigrant family, worked to help support my family, paid for my college degree, built a 40-plus-year career leading technology innovations, and proudly raised my family in San Mateo.
Those experiences shaped my belief that government should focus on practical solutions, accountability, and serving residents — not political slogans or personal agendas.
My priorities are grounded in common sense: smart affordable housing, budget accountability and essential services first.
I support workforce housing for teachers, nurses, firefighters, police officers and working families, but growth must be balanced with infrastructure, traffic realities, schools, parking, public safety, sustainability and quality-of-life planning.
Before raising taxes, our county should cut waste and prioritize essential services like police, fire and health care for our seniors and most vulnerable.
I have been active in my community and most recently helped to push for a more appropriate location for a proposed detox. Meanwhile, my opponent Noelia Corzo, remains deaf to concerns of residents she once campaigned to serve.
Leadership means listening, embracing challenges and working proactively toward practical solutions that unite communities.
I believe my decades of real-world leadership, problem-solving experience and community involvement can help move San Mateo County forward in a balanced and thoughtful way.
I respectfully ask voters to write in “TASO” for a better San Mateo.
