ADVERTISING BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGERS
The leading local daily news resource for the SF Peninsula is seeking candidates for its sales team.
The successful candidate is a top producer with strong consultative sales skills, with a proven track record of success in prospecting, business development and client service. You must excel in developing integrated marketing campaigns across multiple platforms, including digital, print and events. You must be comfortable working with business owners, managing partners, advertising agencies and C-level executives.
Prospecting is a key element of this position. You will develop new business and manage the sales cycle from start to finish:
• Identify and qualify proper targets to develop into clients.
• Create and deploy an active battery of prospecting calls, face-to-face appointments, networking engagements on the targets.
• Plan and execute business development strategies to close.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships.
• Represent the Daily Journal at company-sponsored and community events.
• Contribute to a positive team environment.
To succeed at the Daily Journal, you will need the following:
• Experience selling media and/or sponsorships and integrated marketing campaigns.
• Professional written, verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong presentation skills.
• Effective time management skills.
• The ability to exceed expectations in a results-oriented environment.
• Experience in digital sales is a plus.
NEWSPAPER DELIVERY
Seeking Delivery Driver to manage newspaper routes on the Peninsula.
Requires early morning work six days per week Mon-Sat.
Papers are picked up early morning between 3am and 4:30am.
Pay is based on route size.
