Editor,

I recently received notice advising that due to Senate Bill 1383, implemented by our caring politicians, Recology will be going through our trash bins to make sure we are correctly sorting our waste. I found it interesting that, at the same time, when investigative reporter Nick Shirley began to go through the wasted taxpayer funds of this same administration, their response was to pass Assembly Bill 2624, which criminalizes what Nick Shirley did to publicize the billions in waste. This bill was written by Mia Bonta, wife of “esteemed” Attorney General Rob Bonta. We should all be voting to throw these politicians out of office, and vote in those who will work for the people and not the Democrat party.

Well written, Mr. Cohen. I’d like to know how Recology is going to prove someone didn’t correctly sort their waste. Drone eyes in the sky? Recology employee stake outs? Since bins are not locked or secured (at least I don’t know anyone who locks their bins), anyone can come along and stuff whatever they want into someone else’s bins. Hey, if there are neighbors on the street folks are not fond of, or say, the opposite political party, perhaps folks will find a way to toss incorrectly sorted waste in their bins. Pull out those pens and ticket books. Or, we may need to secure our bins with TSA-type locks with universal keys? Meanwhile, vote out all Democrats.
