And that brings up an interesting point. Rational clear thinking people would say that if there was any possibility for fraud in the election process then it needs to be dealt with. The old way of voting did just that. One more time. You go to your polling place. Show your identification. Sign the book. Then vote. Easy, simple. No worry about fraud. The Democrats who pushed for this change did it for one reason. They will go to any lengths to try and stay in power. And any rational person can see that from a mile away. Â
Mr. Wild - Thank you! Well-spoken wisdom. Return to the way it used to be in Calif. in the 1940-1960s. California was a red state. Voting was done in precincts operated in homes., Process was like Mr. Wild states. Simple. One day voting. Results we counted (by hand) by poll workers and turned in that night. Winners announced. No fighting or contest about outcomes. It can be done again. Let's do it again!
OK Neil, seems you have a solution in search of a problem. The old bromide applies: "If it ain't broke, don't fix it.". It is also noted the right never seems to cry foul in their winning red states. Rather selective outrage...
Come on Rel - the system IS broke. The mail-in ballots are a ticket to abuse and fraud. Most other states do not use this system and can publish election results within a few days if not hours. I, and a few others, have explained the last few weeks what the ailments are in California. I have worked at several levels in the Election Office so my observations are corroborated. But, you like the slimy method that your fellow Dems have authorized for one purpose only: manipulate the vote and dump secret balloting. Even Stalin or Kim Il-Sung could not come up with a better method to secure their elections.
C'mon Dirk, only th righties say the system is broke. Actual fraud is niniscule among the millions of votes cast. Most other states don't use our system because they don't have 43 million population from which to work. CA is more concerned about the accuracy of the votes cast than a speedy report on election night. Why doesn't the right earn their votes the old fashioned way by earning it?
Well Rel, one can take a horse to water but one cannot make it drink. If you even bothered to study election results in our county, Redwood City is one example, even a few votes can make a difference. May you rest in oblivion.
