Primary election ballots are arriving in mailboxes to choose the top two candidates who will go on to compete with each other to become our next governor.

Craig Wiesner

The Democratic Party establishment has been rightfully worried that so many Democrats are running and two Republicans seem to have enough support to potentially end up as the frontrunners. In our current primary system, we might end up with those two Republicans on the November ballot, guaranteeing one of them to be our next governor. I spent some time perusing Republican Steve Hilton’s and Chad Bianco’s backgrounds, policy positions, endorsements and watched them closely in the first debate. No surprise: I wouldn’t vote for either of them but I encourage folks who are curious to learn more about them. stevehiltonforgovernor.com and biancoforgovernor.com

Whoa! I looked out the window and did I see Peppa Pig and Porky Pig flying? I have to wonder whether Mr. Wiesner wrote today’s column. Why? Well, there’s no 400 word folksy story before launching into an “orange man bad” tirade. A welcome change. Perhaps Mr. Wiesner’s TDS is wearing off? Personally, I think this is a one-off and Mr. Wiesner will return to his former habit of bashing Trump and America. Time will tell. BTW, if you want the status quo of Democrats putting the welfare of criminals and terrorists over the American people, vote for a Democrat, preferably one not favored by Mr. Wiesner. However, if you want a real change, vote for a Republican.
