A recent study shows that Highway 101 congestion has improved since the express lanes were implemented, though some leaders and experts cast doubt that the data paints an accurate portrayal of traffic patterns.

Securing congestion data pre- and post-express lanes has been a long-awaited request from transit leaders and advocates, given the San Mateo County Transportation Authority is contemplating whether to expand the express lane north of Interstate 380.

YES, please build more lanes. We need the ability to easily move around the Bay Area. The idea that adding more lanes just creates more travel demand is really silly - it is not the government's job to prevent people from taking a new job that is better for their family by making the commute to the new job really horrible. The government should be facilitating mobility and the ability for citizens to take the best jobs available and enjoy their leisure time by traveling wherever they want quickly. Make things better, not worse.

Please name a highway where additional lanes didn't increase driving. It is simple economics.

Quick question.

- How many wars has the US started in the name of bikes and bike lanes?

- How many wars has the US started in the name of cars and car lanes?

The same Democrats that are constantly asking for more highway widenings (Board of SMCTA and SamTrans) and spending public transit funding on "grade separation projects" benefiting cars, are also the ones asking you to pay more taxes to protect Public Transit (Board of SamTrans and Caltrain). They also want more money for Sea Level Rise (Papan). And they will still ask for more money to lift those highways because of King Tides.

And the same San Mateo Democrats are also the ones constantly fighting bicycle infrastructure, and lately e-bikes.
