Editor,

This November, the San Mateo County supervisor position for District 2 is up for election. Most of us do not fully understand what county supervisors do, even though they oversee a budget of roughly $5 billion and make decisions that directly impact our daily lives through public health, homelessness services, social services, elections, sheriff oversight and more.

Thank you very much for this informative letter. I know of a few people who voted early and wish they had known about Taso beforehand. I've sent them your suggestion about asking for a replacement ballot. Taso has three votes from my household!
