This is with regards to the televised primary debates for California governor, if one could call it that.
The debates are nothing but a farce. Candidates do nothing but interrupt, insult and name call. The candidates never really get a chance to explain what they intend to do without interruptions. I personally believe that every candidates microphone be turned off unless it is their turn to speak. The way these “debates” are handled it is extremely difficult to grasp any reality from that we learn from these “comedy” programs.
Thanks for your letter, Mr. Picchi, highlighting the ridiculousness of California governor debates. Many, including me, believe these televised primary debates are meant to be farces to allow Democrat candidates to refrain from offering anything solutions (because they don’t have any) and to prevent Republican candidates from expressing their proposed solutions. Basically, these farces check a box so Dem candidates can say they participated in debates, even if worthless. BTW, how about Bass’s policy to give free dental care and teeth to meth addicts?
