Editor,

Extremism prevails in absence of common goals and movements. Americans continue blaming in distraction to their ruin. However, when there are clear agendas (e.g. ending corruption) Democrats and Republicans (Americans) can work together. In the recall of San Francisco Supervisor Joel Engardio, I canvassed with diverse groups to oust a billionaire sycophant whose special interests not only were about a negligent highway closure, but also adhering to six billionaires’ surveyors and developers looking to capitalize on $1.4 trillion of Sunset real estate at the expense of his 50k constituents — whom Joel (and others) were selling voters a “park” in screening that reality.

Thanks for your letter, Mr. Lustenberger, and your optimistic plea. However, how can we strike common ground when extremist Democrats put the welfare of criminals and terrorists over the American people? How can we strike common ground when extremist Democrats push to allow biological males to compete against biological females? I call these folks extremist but since they’re pulling all Democrats in their direction, not allowing common sense and law and order to be the guiding light, the division will only become larger between Democrats and patriots who love America. I hope that changes but change must first come from Democrats willing to push back on their extremist colleagues.
