Editor,

I read that a pair of Jan. 6 insurrectionists, Adam Johnson and Jake Lang, are running for public office in Florida; Johnson for a seat on the Manatee County commission. And Lang for Marco Rubio’s vacant Senate seat.

Thanks, Mr. Somers, for allowing us to participate in your attempt at rewriting history. Why, you ask? Well, if there was an insurrection then wouldn’t it make sense that some were charged and convicted of insurrection? Guess what, there were none which means the two you name, or anyone you name, cannot be insurrectionists because there was no insurrection. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

BTW, any law enforcement officer who is unable to do their job because Democrats put the welfare of criminals and terrorists over the American people should join ICE or CBP. At least under those organizations, you know leadership has your back, as opposed to so-called Democrat leaders tying your hands behind your back. Good luck.
