Often times, unfortunately, the United States' decisions are based upon economic and geopolitical power rather than human rights. We disparage multilateral relations, institutions, and diplomacy in favor of unilateral military force. It has affected our position as "leaders of the free world" to become "bullies in a dog-eat-dog world".

Being with the people and not those who oppress them is the more consistent path to peace.
