Editor,

I am an independent and voted for some Republicans over the years but I will never support any politician who remains silent about Trump’s overt racism depicting the Obamas. How a person of any color could vote for Republican cowards who approve of this racist is beyond comprehension.

I would think defending Pedophiles would be worse than "racism" - that term legit means nothing anymore. I have lived in the bay area 35 years - and never have I seen anybody be "rrrrrrracist" to anybody with dark completion - all I have seen is dark completion people feeling entitled to abuse white people - and if you disagree - you have too much money to see the problem in proximity to you. Nothing disgusts me more than liberals whining about "racism". You ever had your door kicked in by 4 gangsters threatening your life and had to defend yourself? I would imagine you live in a very safe environment where you don't have to personally worry about anything- so you can complain about absolute nonsense and feel good about yourself.

As a white woman who has seen racism on the Peninsula, directed at both Black and Brown friends, your assertion is appallingly blind and ignorant.

OK - all of you who drop the term racist as if it is relevant or even meaningful these days. Trump has done more for the black folks than any other president including Obama. Trump's support has been tangible whereas Obama was a soothing duplicitous liar while lining the pockets of his buddies. His sanctimonious response is as hollow as his entire administration in terms of advancement for minorities. All BS and no substance. Ask any black leader other than the NAACP machine. And, for the record I am a white man who did not vote for that phony who now resides in multiple zillion dollar homes in the most exclusive zones of our country. Can you please answer that?

Trump seems to attract people of the same kind as himself, - racists, liars, people who have gone bankrupt, the uneducated, those with limited vocabulary, and rapists, - including those who would like to force women against their will, but only fantasize about it, without daring, - thank goodness.

So, Constance, a picture posted by the WH suddenly makes Trump a racist? And all Republicans of color should now abandon their party? What kind of immature action are you proposing? Even the Obamas found the picture amusing so why are you so upset? I am sure that someone in your personal circle can find a picture of you that you would rather not see published but does that make you something that you are not? The picture of the Obamas is only offensive if you cannot deal with humor, so don't ever go to a comedy club.

From USA TODAY, Obama didn’t say he found it amusing but had a much deeper insight that you might like to ponder on…

Former President Barack Obama said in a Feb. 14 interview that a video President Donald Trump posted that depicted Barack and Michelle Obama as apes, decried by many as racist, was part of a shameless "clown show."

Obama made the comments after podcast host Brian Tyler Cohen said in the interview that a series of messages from White House officials, such as the video posted by Trump and administration officials labeling people who died at the hands of ICE agents as "domestic terrorists," showed a level of cruelty that would have been disqualifying in earlier political times. He asked Obama how the country can come back from that discourse.

"It is true that it gets attention. It’s true that it’s a distraction," Obama said. "But as I’m traveling around the country, as you’re traveling around the country, you meet people, they still believe in decency, courtesy, kindness."

"There’s this sort of clown show that’s happening in social media and on television, and what is true is that there doesn’t seem to be any shame about this among people who used to feel like you had to have some sort of decorum and a sense of propriety and respect for the office," Obama added.

No, Dirk, a racist picture does not suddenly make Trump a racist. he has been one all along. From losing a discriminatory suit early in his real estate history, to starting his political run by a complete falsehood about Obama's birthplace. He is an established racist and soon to be fully exposed pedophile. Yet, you defend him.....

Well said, Mr. van Ulden. Perhaps Connie Weiss forgets that the last person anyone should listen to for advice on racial unity is Barack “Divider-in Chief” Obama, aka the Great Divider, especially since under Obama, the racial divide increased and he set race relations back at least a generation or two. And of course Rel forgets that Trump’s vote among blacks increased considerably during the 2024 election. I guess those blacks thought Trump was less racist than Kamala. BTW, I’d recommend Rel check out our (yes, our) great President Trump’s truthsocial message on Jesse Jackson’s recent passing.
