San Mateo Addiction Education Society
The San Mateo Addiction Education Society debuted its new prevention program for its first public screening of “Should Susan Drink?” on Wednesday, Feb. 18, at Franklin Templeton with 32 high school students from five Bay Area schools, providing invaluable input for program enhancements. Special presenting guest speaker and board member was Dr. Marisa Silveri from McLean Hospital, Harvard Medical School. Should Susan Drink? is a science-based prevention program created in collaboration with Harvard Medical School’s McLean Hospital, which helps students understand how genetics, stress sensitivity, brain development and environment interact to influence alcohol-use risk.
