Heather Elementary School Librarian Natalie Berg and Principal Diederich Bonemeyer celebrating Read-a-Thon for San Carlos schools with more than 2,800 students participating. Students across the district logged more than 2,140,837 of reading between Jan. 15-29 while raising critical funds to support local public schools. Parents, family members and friends donated more than $100,000 to the San Carlos Education Foundation, the nonprofit partner to local public schools. Last year alone, SCEF contributed more than $3.3 million to support programs and staff across San Carlos public schools, helping ensure students receive a well-rounded and enriching education.
