A 38-year-old San Mateo resident has been charged with gang rape for allegedly assaulting a woman in a park after another unidentified man allegedly raped her, San Mateo County District Attorney Steve Wagstaffe said.
Investigation is still ongoing as to the identity of the unidentified man who allegedly came across an intoxicated woman walking home in San Mateo after taking a ride-hail from a Halloween party in Millbrae, took her to a field at Martin Luther King Jr. Park and raped her in the early hours of Nov. 1, 2025, Wagstaffe said.
The defendant, Guillermo Pirirpulic, allegedly knew the unknown man, met him in the parking lot, took the victim from the field and allegedly raped her in his car before driving off with her, Wagstaffe said.
The victim woke up at home with no idea how she got there, Wagstaffe said, and a rape kit after found sperm cells, according to the DA’s Office.
Pirirpulic pleaded not guilty to kidnapping for the purpose of sexual assault, two counts of gang rape and digital penetration on Feb. 24, Wagstaffe said.
