On Tuesday, the Daily Journal’s squib “This Day History” reminded us of this event: On Feb. 10, 1936, “Nazi Germany’s Reichstag passed a law investing the Gestapo secret police with absolute authority, exempt from any legal review.”
Yes, Irv, - way too familiar for someone who grew up in a Nazi-occupied country during WWII, with Gestapo banging on the door in the middle of the night to question my Dad, who with a gun to his head had to lie to protect the whereabouts of a neighbor, selected for execution among a dozen others that were rounded up and shot to death Gestapo-style.
Yes, leave it to Irv for an apples and oranges comparison. Irv, please read up on the Gestapo organization. It only answered to Himmler or Hitler and the Reichstag had no oversight once the law was passed. You may have been sleep, but the ICE management has ben called before our Congress because of concerns. Moreover, ICE does not pick up innocents, only those with deportation orders and collateral persons. Once picked up, they are not tortured and killed in camps. You are actually shamefully misinforming the already polarized public. No wonder our kids are storming out of their schools after hearing such nonsense from you and your ilk.

Actually, Mr. Brenner, it doesn’t sound familiar at all. Please attempt to explain with facts. Thank you for your attention to this matter.
