Scott Abramson asks “What could be worse?” than attacking Iran. First, nearly everyone agrees with Scott that Iran is an autocratic terrorist regime, but when he goes on to say that it develops nuclear weapons to fulfill its mission to annihilate America, he’s blatantly wrong. Since Trump annihilated their nuclear enrichment facilities just months ago, how is that possible? They haven’t invaded us and don’t have nukes or long-range missiles, so where is this so-called “imminent threat” he raves about?
The bigger question is “Why are we at war?” Perhaps a few past quotes from our “no foreign wars” president will help clarify the reason and are frighteningly portentous:
2011 — “In order to get elected, Barack Obama will start a war with Iran.”
2013 — “Remember what I previously said — Obama will someday attack Iran in order to show how tough he is.”

Today he still blames Obama for this invasion as his Obama Derangement Syndrome gets worse. Obama negotiated the JCPOA treaty in 2015 that prevented Iran from developing nuclear weapons and included extensive monitoring and verification measures. In a fit of Obama envy, he withdrew from the treaty but is now bombing Iran into submitting to an identical agreement.
Finally, when he urges the Iranian citizens to “Rise up and reclaim your country,” they’ll be slaughtered without American troops on the ground. What a stupid remark since peacefully demonstrating even in this country gets you murdered.
