Probably the lamest excuse ever for this low grade roach coach proliferation. I feel for the restaurant owners who are complying with every and each regulation that the council applies to them. The council appears thrilled to look the other way for these Third World enterprises as if there is no other way to make a buck.

CA Is Burning

Cigarettes bad, pot good. Food safety inspections and fines; good for restaurants, food safety inspections for backyard vendors and roach coaches (food trucks) not necessary

Hey brick and mortar businesses, it doesn’t sound like Mr. Sturken wants to help you succeed. Instead, it appears Mr. Sturken wants street vendors to take more of your business. It’s amusing that Mr. Sturken pushes mobile street vendors to address sobering up late night alcohol imbibers. Okay, Mr. Sturken, if that’s your reasoning, allow street vendors to only operate from say, 10pm to 4am, and no time in between. If Mr. Sturken is willing to handicap brick and mortar businesses, he should be willing to handicap street vendors. Meanwhile, brick and mortar business owners should pack the council meeting, kind of like bicycle advocates do, allegedly, when an item addresses bike lanes.
