A newly discovered parasitic wasp from Chile has been named after Sir David Attenborough ahead of his 100th birthday, one of several tributes marking the broadcaster’s influence on natural history, conservation and environmental awareness. Museums, scientists and broadcasters are also highlighting the many animals, plants, fossils and scientific projects connected to Attenborough’s name during a career in television and wildlife filmmaking that spans more than 70 years.
