Crystal 1, Harker 0
The Gryphons’ run in the bottom of the first inning was the only score of the game as Crystal ended the regular season with the win over the Eagles at Sea Cloud Park in Foster City.
The one run was enough because Crystal (11-4 PAL Lake, 18-4 overall) pitcher Brandon Ma was nearly unhittable, as the senior tossed a complete-game, one hitter. He allowed four base runners total with a pair of walks and a hit batter. He also struck out nine.
The Gryphons managed only six hits themselves, but Connor Uchida’s first-inning single drove in Marcus Kao.
Harker (9-6, 13-9) Matt MacMillan took the hard-luck loss, giving up one run, with six strikeouts and four walks. Shaurya Jain had the only hit for the Eagles.
Woodside 2, San Mateo 1
The Wildcats scored in the top of the fifth to break the 1-all tie and go on to a win in the season finale for both teams.
Woodside (6-8 PAL Ocean, 11-15 overall) took a 1-0 lead in the top of third, but San Mateo (5-9, 12-15) answered with its only run in the bottom of the inning.
Woodside pitchers Carter Ball and Joseph Hohl combined to limit the Bearcats to one run on two hits. Matteus Mokhtarani and Jeremiah Arias Torres each drove in a run for the Wildcats.
Jesus Olivas was saddled with the loss for San Mateo. He worked the first five innings, giving up one earned run while scattering five hits. Chris Louie had the RBI for the Bearcats.
Mills 4, Terra Nova 0
The Vikings are a win away from posting their best season in years with the win over the Tigers.
Heading into Friday’s season finale, Mills (7-6 PAL Lake, 11-10 overall) is a win away from its first winning season in PAL division play since going 8-3 in the Lake Division in 2018. Their last winning season overall came in 2015, when the Vikings finished the season 17-13.
Thursday, Mills scored three runs in the first and tacked on an insurance run in the fifth. Nate Lafon doubled and drove in a pair of runs to lead the Vikings’ offense, with Aiden Brown and Nick Lafon each adding an RBI.
That made a winner of Nate Lafon, who pitched a complete game, limiting Terra Nova (10-3, 17-6-1) to just five hits, striking out four along the way.
JT Snead had a pair of hits for the Tigers, including a double.
Half Moon Bay 9, El Camino 3
With the scored tied at 1-all after two innings, the Cougars pulled away for the win.
HMB (6-8 PAL Ocean, 11-16 overall) scored three in third, two in the fourth and three more in the fifth to win going away.
Ater scoring in the second, El Camino (3-11, 7-18) didn’t score again until plating two in the sixth.
Connor Heath had a pair of sacrifice flies and two RBIs for the Cougars. Gio Couto and Kai Kung each tripled and drove in a run as Couto went 2 for 3 with two runs scored. Andreas Hipkins, who also drove in a run, pitched five solid innings in picking up the win, allowing five hits and striking out five.
El Camino got RBIs from Dylan Bullentini and Rocco Bromaghim.
South City 10, Westmoor 2
The Warriors opened and closed their win over the Rams with a flourish as they tuned up for CCS with the win.
South City (13-2 PAL Lake, 21-5 overall) scored three in the top of the first and added a fourth in the second. The Warriors then scored two in the sixth and four more in the seventh to round out the scoring.
Josh Ornelas had a double and triple while driving in three runs for South City. Gio Bernal added a pair of RBIs. Emilio Oseguera got the win, allowing just one hit and two runs (one earned).

Priory 16, Jefferson 3
The Panthers put this game away with a 12-run first inning.
Owen Lee had a pair of doubles and drove in a game-high four runs for Priory (8-7 PAL Lake, 11-8 overall). Kai Park added three RBIs, while Harrison Kim and Kai Aalfs each drove in a pair. James Weaver went the distance in picking up the win on the mound, giving up three tuns on four hit while striking out eight.
Summit Shasta 13, North Valley Baptist-SJ 3
Five runs in the bottom of the second and five more in the bottom of the fifth gave the Black Bears the mercy-rule win over the Bulldogs.
Milo Jung drove in three runs for Summit Shasta (10-4 PSAL, 13-12 overall), Benedict Del Rosario and Cameron Nunan each added a pair of RBIs for the Black Bears.
Softball
Carlmont 15, San Mateo 12
The Scots got past the Bearcats in a slugfest, as the two teams combined for 27 runs on 27 hits.
San Mateo (7-7 PAL Bay, 14-9 overall) got off to a strong start, scoring three times in the top of the first inning and tacking on four more in the third to lead 7-1.
But Carlmont (4-10, 7-18) came roaring back, scoring nine in the bottom of the third for a 10-7 lead. The Scots increased it to 13-7, but the Bearcats got back in the game with four runs in the top of the fifth, only to see Carlmont answer with two runs in the bottom of the inning.
Kathernine Fung had a big game for Carlmont, hitting a home run and a double while driving in five runs. Jordyn Sbragia hit a grand slam to drive in four for the Scots, while Daniella Smit added a pair of RBIs.
San Mateo got three RBIs from Rachel Warner and two from Celia Hernandez.
The loss drops San Mateo into a fourth-place tie with Woodside, but the Bearcats will earn the Bay Division’s fourth, and final, automatic CCS berth after sweeping the season series from Woodside.
Capuchino 3, Woodside 1
The Mustangs dealt the Wildcats’ playoff hopes a serious blow with the win.
Woodside finishes the regular season tied for fourth with San Mateo in the Bay Division standings. The top four teams from the Bay earning automatic qualification to the CCS postseason and the Bearcats will be that fourth team after sweeping the two-game series from the Wildcats, who now have to rely on an at-large bid to get into the playoffs.
Both teams scored a run in the first inning before Capuchino (12-2 PAL Bay, 20-6 overall) took control with a two-run third. Avery Motroni had a sacrifice fly and a two-run single to drive in all three runs for the Mustangs. Lola Sierra had another strong outing in the pitcher’s circle, giving up one run while scattering seven hits.
Marisa Calderon drove in the only run for Woodside (7-7, 13-11).
King’s Academy 10, Burlingame 0
Knights’ pitcher Katia Nesper pitched a five-inning perfect game as they wrapped up the regular season with a mercy-rule win over the Panthers.
Nesper, who will continue her playing career at Northwestern University, struck out 11 of the 15 batters she faced, throwing just 57 pitches in five innings of work.
Hannah Woo led the offense for King’s (10-4 PAL Bay, 17-7 overall), driving in four runs. Izzy Barrera and Mia Bennette each added a pair of RBIs for the Knights.
Design Tech 20, El Primero-SJ 10
After a wild first inning, the Dragons steadily pulled away from the Lobos to post the PSAL victoy.
El Primero (3-7 PSAL, 3-8 overall) scored six runs in the top of the first, but D Tech (10-0, 13-6), the PSAL champion, answered with five runs in the bottom of the inning and just kept scoring — four in the second, three in the third, two in the fourth and ended the game with a six-run fifth.
Jeneva Fletcher homered, doubled and drove in four runs to lead the D Tech offense. Ella Lewis doubled and drove in three runs, while Sarah Todd, Sonia Teismann, Desiree Torres and Felton James all added two RBIs apiece.
