Editor,

John Marty has written an intelligent letter (1/6/25), and, as a life-long Democrat, I agree with almost all of the points that he makes.

Folks, as Yogi Berra once said, “it’s déjà vu all over again.” Here we go again with Mr. Kristofferson writing 200+ words to attack “pro-Trump partisans” who don’t agree with his unsupported stances whilst attempting to lecture us on how an LTE should be written. Hey Mr. Kristofferson, why don’t you submit an LTE that is unbiased and encompasses both sides? This one is lacking in both.

It would be constructive to spend your 200+ or however many words to explain why you and fellow Democrats continue to support Democrats who prioritize criminals and terrorists over American citizens? Or why you and fellow Democrats don’t call out or stop voting for Democrats who celebrate a political assassination. Or why you and fellow Democrats support biological males competing against biological females. Everyone on the left is afraid to defend these Democrats but I have confidence you’ll have the courage to step up. Or will you let me and our dear readers down? BTW, if you don’t want to see identical harangues day after day after day after day, then please convince folks to stop with their easily debunked fake news and lies against our (yes, our) great President Trump. Have a Trump-tastic day!

Jorg

You didn’t seem to understand much of Mr. Kristofferson’s letter, did you, MissTY?

DavidKristofferson

No, he doesn’t, Jorg, nor is anyone surprised by his response above. Note how he claims that I support positions which I don’t and never have. He routinely twists facts on other issues as well. Why waste time trying to have a conversation with someone who is only interested in scoring debating points for their “infallible” side by any means possible?

People who never admit that they are wrong are dangerous. TY will never admit that Trump has or will make a mistake, even if the current trend in international bullying leads to war. The Trump administration is actively threatening Venezuela, Columbia, Mexico, Cuba, Greenland, and now Iran, not to mention allies such as Denmark and Canada. In addition, its boorish behavior is causing our country to be perceived as an aggressor nation instead of the country that saved the world from fascism in WWII. We now have “Young Republicans” in the MAGA movement praising Hitler!!

People easily recognize propaganda, and, unfortunately for the SMDJ online comments section, that’s why one often sees articles with comments only from a handful of the same Trump fanatics. Others just don’t want to give them the time of day. TY thinks it is because of his side’s ironclad logic as I mention above. In truth, it is because the Trump side models its behavior after the person at the top. The American people are very rapidly getting fed up with that attitude, and it will come back to bite MAGA in the 2026 elections.

TY will undoubtedly have the last word in this discussion as he always does, but my last word will be SILENCE. Jorg, please don’t waste further time on this guy and his like. Instead, just be sure to vote. They think their voluminous writings are changing minds, but they are only creating more opposition 🤣!
