If you have a point of view to share on the proposal to build a new sobering and detox center at 101 N. El Camino Real, near Mills Hospital and St. Matthews school, I encourage you to attend the San Mateo County Board of Supervisors information session on the project from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, March 24. The meeting will take place at the San Mateo County Events Center.
This project, driven by the San Mateo County Board of Supervisors, has moved quickly, meaning this could be one of the few opportunities residents have to share their perspective.
For those who know me well, I am a huge proponent of community engagement. Whatever your position on this matter, it is important for elected members of the county board to hear your voices.
I will be there as well to learn from the community. I look forward to hearing what you all have to say.

As of last week over 700 letters have come into the county against the location of this project near schools and senior facilities. What does it take to get the Superintendants attention and listen to the people of San Mateo?
