Class Notes: San Mateo County students participate in Head Start California’s Advocacy Day

Denise Cifuentes, Noor Alayan, Angel Chang, Alma Ruiz Soto, Carla Overbey, Ines Flores, Yesenia Gomez Ruan, Alondra Ramirez Baraja, Karen Arellano Cruz and child, Rodrigo Garcia FIgueroa, Laura Jimenez and child, and Moana Lupe represented San Mateo County through Izzi Early Education as they took part in Head Start California’s Advocacy Day on Tuesday in front of the state Capitol Building in Sacramento. Izzi was joined by Head Start advocates from across the state in this movement to share their voices and stories to state legislators including Assemblymember Diane Papan, D-San Mateo; Assemblymember Marc Berman, D-Palo Alto; and state Sen. Josh Becker, D-Menlo Park.
