I support the sentiments in the March 11 letters from Neil Wild and Janet Periat regarding the destruction of San Mateo by large development projects

Hey Michael - this has little to do with Trump. I urge you to read the posting by Bryan Randolph below and you will find your answer to the question. You voted for them!

No, Trump is not to blame for high-density development, nor is San Mateo's Council entirely to blame. It is the California legislature that imposed housing quotas on every city, large and small, and that has banned cities from regulating density as a means of skirting those quotas. The result of Sacramento's zoning-from-afar is inappropriately placed developments, like 32 stories in the middle of Palo Alto's single family neighborhood, or Los Altos Hills converting preserved open space into high-density housing, miles from any services or transit, just to meet the quota.
