Gary Masaru Ogami, at the age of 59, passed away peacefully on September 18, 2025, surrounded by his family. Born and raised in San Mateo, he was an Aragon High graduate, class of ‘84, and UC Berkeley grad with degrees in both Legal Studies and History.
In 1997, he married Caryn Ullom and in 2002, they moved to Scottsdale, AZ where he started his company Pinnacle Peak Lending. In 2004, he had twin daughters, who were his greatest pride and joy.
Gary was an avid sports fan - a 49er faithful and SF Giants fan, even while in Arizona. He loved all genres of music, and enjoyed playing the keyboards from an early age. He had a kind soul, compassionate heart, and fun-loving spirit. He was a devoted son, husband, father and friend and will be greatly missed by all.
He is survived by his wife Caryn, his twin daughters Natalie and Caitlyn, and his mother, Mary Ogami.
Celebration of life services were held in Scottsdale, AZ and San Mateo, CA.
