Currently, it’s uncertain where the 25-year-old inmate who accidentally overdosed at the Maple Street Correctional Facility procured the prescription drug cocktail that led to his death, San Mateo County District Attorney Steve Wagstaffe said.

The death of Kyle Harrison — the sixth in county jail facilities in two years — is being separately investigated by the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office and the District Attorney’s Office, Wagstaffe said. The DA’s Office will be producing a full report on its conclusions in the coming weeks.

The bigger question should be that this was a miscarriage of Justice. The guilty culprit is sitting there smiling in his parents' house. The verdict should have been reversed with that punk serving life while this guy, also guilty, should have had a lesser sentence. Money, ethnicity and age seem to outweigh justice.
