Two men who allegedly led a counterfeiting operation out of a vacant property in South San Francisco were arrested, police said Wednesday.
On Tuesday at about 5:15 p.m., officers in South San Francisco responded to the 300 block of Arroyo Drive on a report of a burglary. Police allegedly located to men inside, San Francisco resident Arvin Ibasan, 41, and Seaside resident Christopher Roliz-Maguigad, 37.
Police allege the pair forced entry to the vacant property and began operating a counterfeit currency manufacturing scheme. Investigators allegedly found evidence of identity theft and controlled substances. Both suspects were arrested on suspicion of burglary, fraud, counterfeiting and narcotics-related crimes.
