San Mateo County History Museum readies oil wagon exhibit

Volunteers and staff with the San Mateo County Historical Association moved a standard oil wagon, a horse-drawn carriage made of cast iron that delivered gasoline, in preparation to be on display in a forthcoming exhibit at the San Mateo County History Museum. This, alongside a handful of other mid-19th century carriages in the Historical Association’s collection, will be on display on the second level of the recently completed Taube Family Carriage House and Automobile Gallery in a new exhibit that will be unveiled in November.
