U.S. Rep. Ro Khanna recently at two synagogues said there has been genocide by Israel in Gaza, and explained he would defer to the United Nations finding of genocide. Genocide is defined as deliberate, organized destruction of a group of people, the killing of civilians in Gaza is accidental and regretted by Israel, so that is not genocide.
However, Hamas is guilty of genocide by its massacre in Israel 10/7/2023 and by its charter. Ro should recognize the long history of bias against Israel by the UN. From 2015 to 2023, there were about 154 UN resolutions criticizing Israel and 71 against all other countries combined. One of the 3D definitions of antisemitism by Sharansky is a “double standard, singling out Israel while ignoring worse civil rights abuses elsewhere. Ro should make his own determinations and not defer to the UN, whose history is shamefully anti-Israel.

Thanks for your letter, Mr. Licht. As President Trump posted today, “The United Nations must start getting active and involved in WORLD PEACE!” The Unitied Nations shouldn’t be fomenting division and accepting of Hamas’s genocide by its massacre in Israel in 2023. Ro Khanna doesn’t speak for all of us, not even close. Perhaps synagogues should stop inviting Mr. Khanna to speak until Mr. Khanna can promote unity rather than division.

Perhaps you were too busy biking around the neighborhood instead of attending classes because if you had gone to class, you’d remember that the UN was created 80 years ago and their purpose was to maintain global peace and to prevent future wars. Obviously the UN has strayed from their purpose as Trump has had to do their job to ending multiple wars. You’re welcome, world. BTW, how about South Korea awarding President Trump with its highest civilian honor, the Grand Order of Mugunghwa? Along with a gold crown? Does it mean Trump is a king? And speaking of kings, where are the furries and inflatable costume folks doing their Dancercise workouts while loitering in the streets?
Not following here. If the UN is so bad, why hand them over the tasks to end wars that even the almighty U.S. president couldn't? Why not have the FIFA Peace Price Master and Grand Mugunghwa (sounds like a secret society) do it himself?
Btw. the FIFA World Peace Price and the Grand Order of Mugungwha are more like an insider joke on the recipient or like a 'swamp-medal'.

Terence - let's not kid ourselves. How many conflicts have the UN been able to avert or resolve? The record is still at zero after spending billions of taxpayer bucks and useless, boring jaw boning by the members. The UN was a great idea but its current charter needs revision or sent to the exit. Only US presidents have been able to make a difference and end wars or conflicts. The UN is just a money wasting bureaucracy that is utterly useless. Visit their monolith in New York and you will get the impression that your input is totally ignored unless you are a heralded DEI member. And, they make decisions for our welfare? Lord help us.

Perhaps if you had an understanding of UN history… ICYMI, President Trump has been ending wars because, as Mr. van Ulden, has detailed, “The UN is just a money wasting bureaucracy that is utterly useless.” The UN has lost their way and Trump is telling them to get back to their roots – Make the UN Great Again (MUNGA)? (Sounds like another secret society, or a new comic book genre.) As for your remark about the GOM, perhaps you missed the fact that South Korea awarded the GOM to Trump, so obviously it is not self awarded. Not too hard to follow.
As for no positive achievements for the country, it sounds like you’re talking about Democrats who put the welfare of criminals and terrorists (and now a murderous drug kingpin in Maduro) over that of the American people. And speaking of jokes, how about cycling advocates pushing for dedicated bike lanes when they’re not willing to pay for discriminatory bicycle lanes? I hope you had a Happy New Year.

The fact that you think this is about some "druglord" is cute. The rest of us ALL know this isn't about drugs.
We know its not about drugs because Trump pardoned Juan Orlando Hernandez, the ex-Honduras President, just a few weeks ago. The guy was sentenced to 45 years in prison for trafficking some 400t of drugs into the US ... and Trump just lets him go?
If this was about drugs, he would keep that guy and invade Honduras, maybe.
No, this is the Dick Cheney playbook - using 'security' as a way to start another War for the oil companies. They gave him at least $500M in campaign donations, now they want payback. They want access to Venezuela. And Trump confessed to that already. He fully admits its all about oil and distracting from the negative home economics and those Epstein files.
And I'm glad you mentioned bicycles. No war was ever started so people can ride bicycles. But for cars, several Republican presidents have been willing to spend billions of dollars on wars. That's another huge government subsidy for oil and auto we haven't talked about much.

If you’re not going to educate yourself on the history of the UN and its purpose and you’re now resorting to regurgitating debunked Democrat talking points, it’s apparent you’re not looking to educate yourself on the facts. (And none of us can forget you're okay with biological men competing against biological women.) As for a war, what do you think you’re doing in trying to impose discriminatory bike lanes when they’re not needed? As for subsidies, it seems bicycle advocates want 100% subsidies for their bike lanes. It’s no surprise you don’t want to talk about that.
