Alcohol-related arrests and accidents were higher this Memorial Day weekend in San Mateo County but the number is not considered cause for alarm.
Sixty-nine drivers were arrested in San Mateo County for driving while under the influence over the holiday weekend along with five injury accidents without fatalities. By comparison, last year's holiday weekend saw 62 arrests, two injury crashes and one fatal accident.
