Editor,
Kudos to President Biden. We should keep him on as a prisoner exchange negotiator. As for Vice President Harris, we are not trying to elect her parents.

Unfortunately, Ms. Koch, Biden is highly likely to be unable to realize he’s a prison exchange negotiator. Vote for Trump to Make America Great Once Again.
Good morning, Rosemarie
I agree. We are not electing Kamala's parents... and we should not elect Kamala.
Almost three weeks... no press conference to defend her past performance. She said her team is looking at putting together a conference by the end of the month. Another three weeks?
Kamala has said over and over again that she can imagine what it will be like to be unburdened by what has been in the past. Straight outta the Marxist playbook. Maybe she didn't form her ideology based on what she heard at home during her formative years, but her far left beliefs are certainly there for all to see. Take a look at Gigi's LTE in today's DJ for a different liberal approach to developing national policies.
C'mon Ray. We should not elect kamala? Who do you suggest? Is a former prosecutor, DA, AG, Senator, and VP not qualified enough for you? And suggesting she is Marxist? For an professed independent, you sure take a right wing conspiracy theory bent...
Hey, Rel
Sorry. Didn’t get back to you to you yesterday. I was at the ballpark then dinner. Giants 3 – Tigers 1. I’m not a Giants fan, but ya gotta enjoy the local nine playing some smart baseball. Webb was on top of his game and he was supported by timely hitting and solid defense. Weather was great.
Before launching into a long… OK… very long response… would you consider responding to a couple of comments? Maybe the second paragraph following Dirk’s 8/8 LTE, and the second paragraph following Gus’s 8/8 LTE?
The easy part first… do not elect Kamala. IMO she is not qualified. I am not aligned with any political party. You’ll recall I have rejected Trump’s and Joe’s candidacy many times in these pages. Now, I reject the most undemocratically selected candidate anointed by the Democratic Party… Kamala. That’s not based on any right wing conspiracy theory. Kamala wants to fundamentally change America… she has said so many times. She’s imagining, “What can be, unburdened by the past.” It’s the pursuit of economic changes to promote a dependent and classless society propped up with “free stuff” coming at the price of government intrusion and control. No thanks.
We can agree Kamala’s ideology cannot be found anywhere on the right side of the aisle or anywhere close to left of center. As a presidential candidate, when she turns her head to the left… there is no one or nothing there except a copy of "Das Kapital."
Three years after Kamala was elected to the Senate, she was rated by GovTrack, a non-partisan organization that reports on legislation, as the most liberal US senator. The next year, GovTrack rated Kamala as the second most politically left senator. Since then, they have stopped issuing single year ratings for legislators. Being very, very left or even rated the most left legislator may not be enough to characterize an elected official’s ideology as Marxist unless and until you take a closer look at what they have done and what they say.
Kamala certainly seemed to earn her uber liberal rating when she told CNN in 2019 she supported eliminating private medical insurance coverage. That would put her in the same boat with social democrat Bernie Sanders. However, she softened her position while campaigning for president in 2020. We can only guess she realized a sizable number of voters prefer to keep their insurance plans (as Barack promised they could) instead of turning over health care to the government.
Is there any question that Kamala supports BLM… an organization that opposes capitalism, supports defunding the police as well as the breakup of the American family? Is there any question that BLM’s core beliefs were developed by card carrying, bag totin’ Marxists? Perhaps Kamala’s support of BLM protests only extends to the point where she wants to convey to voters that she is the most woke candidate for president and an effort to recapture the support of Black voters who were turning in increasing numbers to the Republican Party.
On the subject of woke, Kamala said early in Trump’s presidency that everybody needs to be woke. Perhaps that comment needs some clarification. She provided it the next day on social media when she posted, "We have to stay active. We have to stay woke." That was seven years ago… do you think she has abandoned her encouragement that Americans should stay woke?
Kamala picked Tim Walz as her VP running mate. In Minnesota, Walz pushed for the creation of an education system built on DEI principles, signed an executive order providing minors with irreversible “gender changing” drugs and surgeries, created program to move the number of EV vehicles from 1% to 20% by 2030, signed Minnesota legislation permitting abortions at any time during a pregnancy without restrictions, and let’s not forget his slow response to activating the National Guard to restore order during 2020 riots. The progressive governor fiddled while Minneapolis burned. Walz’s measures are largely intended to create a classless society, and they have been accompanied by tax increases. No surprise. So, why would Kamala select such a radical vice-presidential running mate unless she herself embraced that same radicalism?
Kamala, who may go six weeks without holding a press conference to address questions about her performance, will certainly try to convince us that she wants to unify America. That won’t happen, and not because there are those who would oppose policies implemented by a Harris administration. It won’t happen because it’s not in her DNA. Coming full circle to GovTrack ratings… a year before she was elected to be vice president, the number of bipartisan bills she co-sponsored compared to the total number of bills she co-sponsored was 15%... lowest percentage in the Senate. That hardly gives anyone hope she wants to reach across the aisle. She has an agenda.
There is no Marxism in baseball.
I'll be honest...i read none of this....but Ray you entertain this fool too much. Your energy is needed elsewhere.
Hey Rel, feel free to familiarize yourself with Harris and her roles in Propositions 47 and 57. Thanks to Harris, nonviolent crimes now include human child trafficking, rape of an unconscious person or by intoxication, drive-by shooting at a dwelling or vehicle, assault with a firearm or deadly weapon, serial arson, solicitation to commit murder, felony domestic violence, and the list goes on. Hopefully you’ve never been a victim but if you were, you can thank Harris for the perpetrator being charged with a nonviolent crime. Those are a few of your Harris qualifications and just a few of the many reasons crazy Kamala is not qualified. Oh yeah, and now stealing Trump's no taxes on tips policy. Why are the only good ideas that Dems have come from Trump? Let's cut out the middle-woman. Vote for Trump to Make America Great Once Again.
