Two masked individuals involved in a home burglary Saturday night in Hillsborough are still at large, after the getaway driver of a SUV with stolen plates was arrested on scene, according to police.
At approximately 9:37 p.m. July 18, the Hillsborough Police Department responded to a reported burglary in process on the 300 block of West Santa Inez Avenue.
A SUV parked in front of a neighboring home and two masked individuals exited and climbed onto the property, while a third individual remained in the driver seat, police said in a press release Sunday.
The driver, an adult female and Chilean national, was arrested for residential burglary, conspiracy and possession of stolen property. She was booked in county jail.
A search with drones and K9 dogs to locate the two masked burglars was not successful and they remain outstanding as of Sunday. The burglarized home was unoccupied at the time of the crime, and the individuals entered after shattering a rear window, police said.
As both subjects were masked and detailed descriptions are limited, the department asked residents in the area of West Santa Inez and Roblar avenues to review home surveillance video recorded between 9 p.m. and 11 p.m. that evening and to share anything of note with investigators.
