Division I
No. 1 Menlo-Atherton 70, No. 8 Cupertino 48
Luisa Tava erupted for 27 points on an astounding nine 3-pointers as M-A (19-5) rolled to the home win at against Cupertino (18-8). Tava drilled two early 3s, then, with the game tied 10-all, Ape Ulukivaiola hit a 2 to spark a 9-0 run. The Bears led the rest of the way. Ulukivaiola finished with 13 points, and Bella Gormsen added 10.
M-A now advances to Thursday’s semifinal round to host No. 4 Los Altos at 7 p.m. The two teams last met in 2023-24 with the Eagles winning 45-42 in a non-league regular-season matchup.
Los Altos took care of business Tuesday, downing No. 5 Salinas 56-37.
No. 3 Homestead 68, No. 6 Carlmont 51
Trailing 43-20 at the half, Carlmont used a 24-9 third-quarter run to close the deficit, but couldn’t overcome it on the road at Homestead-Cupertino (21-4). It marks the 14th straight win for the Lady Mustangs, who advance to Thursday’s semifinal at No. Los Gatos. Carlmont was appearing in its 12th straight CCS tournament, and its first quarterfinal since 2023-24 when it reached the Division I semis.
Division II
No. 2 Hillsdale 48, No. 7 Gunn 41
Bring on the rivalry.
Hillsdale (18-7) earned the chance to rematch with archrival Aragon in the CCS semifinals with a quarterfinal home win over Gunn-Palo Alto (12-14). The Lady Knights led 34-29 heading into the fourth quarter when Lila Corkish and Adison Wilmurt each hit 3-pointers down the stretch to hold the lead. Senior guard Kiara Nitao paced Hillsdale with a game-high 21 points, and senior Daniella Sierra overcame early foul trouble to score 10. Gunn was paced by Carina Gross with 12 points, while Stella Kitch added 11.
In what has been a spirited head-to-head rivalry this season, the Knights will host their third showdown of the year with No. 3 Aragon Thursday at 7 p.m. Hillsdale won in the initial matchup through the first turn of PAL Ocean Division play 56-53 in overtime. The Lady Dons fired back with a 56-44 victory heading into the final week of the regular season.
No. 3 Aragon 55, No. 6 San Mateo 27
One game after being held to single-digit scoring for the first time all season, Aragon senior Daisy Pantoja Beltran erupted for a game-high 26 points to lead the Lady Dons (13-11) to the home win over crosstown San Mateo (13-13). Senior Ellie McGinty and junior Kira Partridge pitched in with six points apiece. Aragon now travels to No. 2 Hillsdale for a semifinal showdown with its archrival Thursday at 7 p.m.
Division III

No. 1 Mills 53, No. 9 North Monterey 41
Four Vikings finished in double figures on their home court as Mills (12-13) won its playoff opener in the CCS quarterfinals against North Monterey (17-8). Senior guard Kelly Ho led the way with 14 points, senior Amaya Moore added 13 points, and seniors Kayle Huynh and Layla Wong scored 12 apiece.
Mills advances to the semifinal round to face an old nemesis in No. 4 Notre Dame-San Jose. The two teams have met in playoffs in each of the past three years, including the last two Division III championship games. The teams have split those championship games, with Mills taking the title last season with a 51-50 victory. The Vikings also defeated the Regents 43-39 in the 2022-23 semifinals en route to winning their first Division III title, and their second of three CCS titles all-time.
No. 3 Pioneer 51, No. 6 Capuchino 32
Capuchino had its 17-game winning streak snapped in its first road game with a non-PAL Ocean Division opponent since Jan. 5. Pioneer-San Jose (15-10) now takes to the road to face No. 2 Santa Cruz in Thursday’s semifinal. Cap (20-3) finished the season with 20 wins for the first time since the Peninsula Athletic League formed in 1983.
Division IV
No. 3 Sacred Heart Prep 71, No. 6 Harker 32
SHP (15-7) rolled to its 13th straight win in its CCS opener against Harker-San Jose (9-15) at McGanney Sports Center. The Gators last lost Jan. 10 to Notre Dame-Belmont in their final non-league game prior to the start of their undefeated West Bay Athletic League Foothill Division championship run. SHP now travels to No. 2 Scotts Valley for Thursday’s semifinal at 7 p.m. A semifinal win means a potential rematch with Notre Dame-Belmont, as No. 1 NDB hosts No. 4 Menlo on the other side of the bracket.
No. 4 Menlo School 59, No. 5 King’s Academy 50
Junior point guard Ava Allen drilled five 3-pointers en route to scoring a game-high 27 points to lead Menlo (16-9) at home against the King’s Academy-Sunnyvale (18-8). Allen added seven rebounds, while freshman Sierra Wynn recorded a double-double of 14 points and 12 rebounds. TKA was paced by sophomore Sarah Hon with 12 points. The Lady Knights now travel.to No. 1 Notre Dame-Belmont for a rematch of last year’s Division IV semifinal, a game Menlo won en route to a CCS four-peat.
Division V
No. 6 St. Francis 42, No. 3 Summit Shasta 32
St. Francis-Watsonville (14-11) delivered an upset in Daly City by knocking off Summit Shasta (14-9). Sophomore Liliana Whitmeyer led St. Francis with 18 points, while senior Julie Lopez recorded a double-double of 10 points and 13 rebounds. The loss snaps a five-game winning streak for Shasta. With the win, the Sharks travel to No. 2 Castilleja-Palo Alto for Thursday’s semifinal at 5:30 p.m.
No. 5 Crystal 47, No. 4 Pacific Collegiate 25
With the game tied 18-all at the half, Crystal (13-7) went on a 13-3 third-quarter run and didn’t let up to eliminate Pacific Collegiate-Santa Cruz (20-5) at the Gryphon Den. The Gryphons now take to the road to face No. 1 Palma-Salinas in Thursday’s semifinal at 6 p.m.
