Edgecombe's late 3-pointer gives 76ers 139-136 OT win over Grizzlies

Ja Morant led Memphis with 40 points, including 18 in the fourth to bring Memphis back into the game. Cedric Coward finished with 28 points and 16 rebounds, career-highs in both as the Grizzlies lost their second in a row. Coward’s 3-point attempt to tie the game as time expired bounced off the front of the rim.

Santi Aldama and Jaren Jackson Jr. had 15 points each, and Jackson grabbed 12 rebounds.

Philadelphia took a 103-100 lead into the fourth, and Edgecombe gave the Sixers a 124-118 lead near the four-minute mark with a pair of 3-pointers and a drive. But Morant and the Grizzlies fought back to tie the game at 128 with just under one minute left.

That sent the game to overtime.

Both teams shot better than 50% in the first half, resulting in a high-scoring affair. But Memphis was stymied by 11 turnovers, which offset the Grizzlies connecting on nine of their 17 3-pointers.

All of that led to a 72-all tie at the break. Maxey scoring 24 points, while Embiid added 19.

CELTICS 129, JAZZ 119

SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — Derrick White scored 13 of his 27 points in the fourth quarter and added a career-high seven blocks in a one-of-a-kind performance that carried Boston to a win over Utah.

White became the 13th player in NBA history to have 27 points, seven rebounds, six assists and seven blocks in a game. But he was the first guard — or member of the Celtics — to post that statistical combination.

Jaylen Brown had 23 points and 10 assists for Boston, ending his streak of 30-point games at nine. He remained tied with Celtics great Larry Bird, who had nine straight 30-point games in February and March of 1985.

Anfernee Simons scored 20 points and Payton Pritchard added 18 for the Celtics, who have won five of six.

Keyonte George, listed as questionable with an illness until a couple of hours before tipoff, scored 37 points for the Jazz. Jusuf Nurkic had a season-high 26 and Lauri Markkanen added 22.
