SACRAMENTO — Democratic California lawmakers are exploring ways to blunt the impact of the new federal tax law on the state’s taxpayers.

Federal law has long allowed people to deduct their state and local taxes from their federal tax bill, but the tax overhaul signed last month by President Donald Trump caps that deduction at $10,000.

how bout cut the social welfare budget to make up for its lost revenue? all these programs do is attract undesirables. just like sanctuary, it attracts those unjustly here. Why is it fair that 42-45 other states in the USA subsidize the 5-8 states uber liberal social micro management programs? Kalifornia is the pun of the country!

Nobody can increase the tax on California's 1%ers except California. If the absolute leftist dictator Ken Deleon wants to relieve tax burdens on Californians, just make Federal Taxes deductible on your state tax return. Can't wait for this guy to term out.
