Museum Studios and Peninsula Museum of Art

The Museum Studios artists and the Peninsula Museum of Art invite the public to Open Studios the weekend of Nov. 10-11.

Sixth ANNUAL OPEN STUDIOS NOV.10-11 AT PENINSULA MUSEUM OF ART AND MUSEUM STUDIOS IN BURLINGAME. The Museum Studios artists and the Peninsula Museum of Art welcome the public to Open Studios the weekend of Nov. 10-11. Enjoy new exhibits in the museum and wander the artist studios to see a wide range of art, including painting, photography, mixed media, fiber and wearables, printmaking and sculpture. Stop by the group exhibition ‘Size Matters’ in the Museum Studios Gallery, where many artists have stretched themselves by creating 6”x 6” small works to accompany the regular-sized works in this group exhibition. There will be demonstrations of a variety of art forms, including stone carving, painting and assemblage, which will allow visitors to learn a new skill or polish an old one. Museum Studios, a department of the Peninsula Museum of Art, is home to 30 visual artists. Its mission is to provide a supportive working environment for creative professionals in the visual arts and a cultural resource for the community. The Museum Studios Gallery is across the courtyard from the Peninsula Museum of Art’s main entrance at 1777 California Drive, Burlingame. Museum Studios Sixth Annual Fall Open Studios is open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days. Visit www.museumstudios.org for more information or call 692-2101.
