HOUSTON (AP) — The Houston Texans have agreed to a one-year contract extension with offensive tackle Trent Brown.
Brown’s agent Drew Rosenhaus confirmed to The Associated Press on Thursday that the deal is worth $7 million.
The move comes after Houston traded right tackle Tytus Howard to Cleveland and sent center Juice Scruggs to Detroit in exchange for running back David Montgomery.
The 6-foot-8, 380-pound Brown joined the Texans last season. He started seven games after missing time early in the year because of injuries.
In 11 NFL seasons, the 32-year-old Brown has played 110 games with 103 starts. He started his career in San Francisco and has also played for New England, the Raiders and Cincinnati.
He made his only Pro Bowl in 2019 with the Raiders.
The move was first reported by ESPN.
