Half Moon Bay 80, Jefferson 54
The Cougars erupted for 26 first-quarter points and led 44-20 at halftime as they stayed undefeated in PAL Bay Division play with the win over the Grizzlies.
Gio Garduno-Martin, once again, led HMB (5-0 PAL Bay, 11-6 overall), finishing with 19 points, including five 3-pointers. Levi Meighen added 17 in the win.
Jefferson (0-5, 6-11) was led by Marley Mariscal, who finished with 17 points.
Menlo-Atherton 67, Sequoia 39
The Bears also stayed unbeaten in Bay play, recovering from a six-point, first-quarter deficit to beat the Ravens.
M-A (5-0 PAL Bay, 12-3 overall) will host Half Moon Bay in Bay Division showdown Friday night at 7:45 p.m.
Down 15-9 after the first quarter, the Bears outscored Sequoia (1-4, 6-10) 25-5 in the second quarter to lead 34-20 at halftime. Jacob Sutton scored a game-high 19 points, hitting three 3-pointers along the way for M-A. Aiden Atkins added 12 for the Bears.
Sequoia was led by Isaiah Hahn Tapper, who scored 11 points. Nik Dimaano added 10 for the Grizzlies.
Carlmont 59, Terra Nova 47
The Scots rallied from a 31-24 halftime deficit to beat the Tigers.
Carlmont (3-3 PAL Bay, 8-8 overall) outscored Terra Nova (1-4, 8-9) 35-16 in the second half to pull out the win.
Jordan Rice was virtually unstoppable for the Scots. He sank 13 field goals, including two 3-pointers, and went 10 for 15 from the free throw line to finish with a career-high 38 points.
Terra Nova was led by Kai Gieraths, who hit six 3s on his way to 22 points.
Aragon 57, South City 31
The Dons stayed undefeated in Ocean Division play after beating the Warriors.
Up 25-18 at halftime, Aragon (5-0 PAL Ocean, 13-3 overall) took control in the third quarter, outscoring South City (2-3, 6-10) 20-7 in the period.
Charlie Platz led the Dons with 11 points, while Kaleb Brodeth was right behind him, finishing with 10.
South City was led by Marcus Zhu, who scored seven points.
Hillsdale 50, Westmoor 34
A tough non-league schedule has paid off as the Knights find themselves in the thick of the Ocean Division race following the win over the Rams.
Hillsdale (4-1 PAL Bay, 8-10 overall) is one game behind division-leading Aragon.
After a pedestrian first half, that saw the Knights hold a 17-16 lead at halftime, Hillsdale finally found a rhythm in the second, outscoring Westmoor (0-5, 4-12) 33-18.
Freeman Lane scored a game-high 15 points to lead Hillsdale. Westmoor got eight points from both Kevin Panlasigui and Austin Prado.
Mills 62, Woodside 54
The Vikings handed the Wildcats their first Ocean Division loss of the season.
Mills (3-2 PAL Ocean, 5-10 overall) led by a point at halftime, 28-27, before pulling away in the second half.
The Vikings had three players score in double figures, led by Jessie Jimenez, who finished with 18 points. Darius Rivera added 12 and Brayden Beliso chipped in 10.
Woodside (4-1, 7-8) got a game-high 27 points from Luke Grech,who hit four 3-pointers.
San Mateo 46, Oceana 38
The Bearcats held the Sharks to single-digit scoring in the first three quarters to post the win.
The Ehlerman twins, seniors Byron and Bryan, combined for 26 points for San Mateo (2-3 PAL Ocean, 9-8 overall). Bryan Ehlerman scored 14 and Byron Ehlerman finished with 12.
Oceana (0-5, 5-12) got a game-high 15 points from Catcher Ashkinos.
El Camino 47, Capuchino 40
Tied at halftime, the Colts outscored the Mustangs 27-20 in the second half to notch the win.
Eli Ledesma scored 10 points to lead El Camino (3-2 PAL Ocean, 8-8 overall), while Markson Jacques and Raimer Guevarra added nine points each.
Capuchino (2-3, 7-10) had three players score in double figures, led by Christian Rodriguez’s 12 points. Matt Alas added 11 and Christian Dimaano chipped in 10.

Menlo-Atherton 54, Aragon 36
The Bears set up a showdown with undefeated Half Moon Bay Friday following the win over the Dons.
M-A (5-0 PAL Bay, 13-2 overall) opened up a nine-point lead after the first quarter, 16-7, and steadily pulled away for the rest of the game. Mary Tava led the way for the Bears, scoring a game-high 18 points. Apé Ulukivaiola was right behind with 16 points, while Lita Fakapelea chipped in 11 points.
Aragon (1-4, 5-9) got 11 points from both Daisy Pantoja Beltran and Jaclyn Ruttenberg.
Half Moon Bay 37, San Mateo 21
The Cougars kept pace atop the Bay Division standings with M-A with the win over the Bearcats.
HMB (5-0 PAL Bay, 13-3 overall) will travel to M-A Friday in a battle for first place. Game time is 6:15 p.m.
The Cougars’ defense shut down San Mateo (2-3, 11-5), holding the Bearcats to single-digit scoring in all four quarters.
Zoe Lemoge led the way for the Cougars, scoring 10 points. San Mateo was led by Kaitlyn Schuh, who finished with nine points.
Mills 50, Carlmont 43
Tied at 10-all after the first quarter, the Scots appeared to take control in the second quarter, taking a 25-17 lead at halftime. But Mills outscored Carlmont 33-18 in the second half.
Amaya Moore led the way for Mills (2-3 PAL Bay, 6-8 overall), scoring a game-high 19 points. Kelly Ho added 14 points and Kaylee Huynh chipped in 11 for the Viking.
Carlmont (1-4, 10-8) got 12 points each from Sky Yee and Addison Glover.
Woodside 48, Terra Nova 41
The Wildcats stayed undefeated in Ocean Division play with the win over the Tigers.
Lyla Rich hit two 3-pointers on her way to a game-high 15 points to lead Woodside (5-0 PAL Ocean, 11-3 overall). Meadow Long added 12 for the Wildcats.
Terra Nova (3-2, 7-5) was led by Reese Kelly, who shared game-high scoring honors with Rich, scoring 15 points. Gabby Dyogi added 13 points for the Tigers.
Capuchino 38, Burlingame 24
The Mustangs kept pace with Woodside atop the Ocean Division standings, handing the Panthers their first league loss of the season.
Capuchino (5-0 PAL Ocean, 12-2 overall) ran its winning streak to nine in a row.
The Mustangs took control of the game early, taking a 15-2 lead after the first quarter. Lorelai Shinn scored a game-high 12 points to lead Capuchino.
Burlingame (4-1, 9-6) got eight points from Adeline Uhrich.
Jefferson 34, El Camino 30
The Grizzlies outscored the Colts 22-9 in the second half to pull out the Ocean Division win.
Jefferson (2-3 PAL Ocean, 9-7 overall) was led by Nia Hicks, who scored a game-high 13 points. El Camino (1-4, 4-12) got 10 points from Lhian Dela Cruz.
Westmoor 49, Oceana 31
The Rams outscored the Sharks 28-4 in the first half to cruise to the win.
Westmoor (2-3 PAL Ocean, 7-9 overall) got a game-high 21 points from Kiana Chavez, while Jhacelyn Capistrano chipped in 14 points.
Oceana falls to 0-5 in Ocean play and 0-10 overall.
South City 54, Sequoia 38
The Warriors outscored the Ravens 35-19 in the second and third quarters on their way to the Ocean Division win.
South City (2-3 PAL Ocean, 9-8 overall) had three players score in double figures, with Liala Kinchen scoring a game-high 20 points. Kylee Chiva added 14 and Jordyn O’Shea-Signio 10.
Sequoia (1-4, 7-9) was led by Chloe Chevillet, who finished with six points.
Sacred Heart Prep 57, Gunn 41
Kate Baron had a monster game in leading the Gators to the non-league win over the Titans.
The senior shooting guard posted a rare triple-double: she scored a game-high 24 points, hitting on a trio of 3-pointers, had 11 rebounds and 10 assists. She also added eight steals and two blocks.
Freshman Bella Jansen-Olliges added 19 points for SHP (6-7 overall).
Gunn falls to 9-7 on the season.
