Open letter to Josh Becker and Marc Berman: I received your latest updates. Thank you. I’m glad you have had a rewarding year passing bills in Sacramento, but for those of us on the “outside” — the residents — the state of California has other issues too.
For example, our state ranks 45 out of 50 in the transportation sector most relevant to us mere mortals — roadways — and it shows. We rank 50 out of 50 on homelessness, in spite of mass infusions of voters’ money. Amid the recent years of energy shortages, we have moved to abandon hydroelectric and gas plants and tried three times to kill the sector that provides 25% of our power with no hydrocarbon emissions. Your major campaign donors, the teachers’ unions, have blocked repeated efforts to improve public school teacher performance. We have paid billions in false Employment Development Department claims, let PG&E and Edison pass on their court-proven liabilities to rate payers (us), driven insurers from the state, driven employers from the state, released convicted criminals in lieu of cleaning up prisons, and lost nearly $1 billion to failed 911 and fiscal systems updates, now abandoned.Ah, but we still are pushing high-speed rail.
So I’m glad you are pleased, I admire your spirit and I hope you enjoyed the holidays. But there are those other items still on the top of a voter’s agenda. Maybe you could work on those too.
Well written, Mr. Riggs. Let’s not forget the biggest waste of money of all, Newsom and complicit Democrats putting the welfare of criminals and terrorists above the American people. And where does Becker and Berman stand when Newsom is continuing to destroy California? I’d recommend folks read another great article published today (https://californiaglobe.com/fl/american-freedom-isnt-achieved-through-commie-mamdani-nyc-or-comrade-newsoms-california/) to see what Berman and Becker likely endorsed.
