Victoria Cui capped off a dream postseason run as the Crystal sophomore captured the CIF Girls’ Golf Championship Wednesday at Poppy Hills Golf Course in Pebble Beach.

And she did it in dramatic fashion. Playing in the last group of the day that also featured junior phenom Asterisk Talley, Cui trailed by two shots with four holes left to play, but birdied the final three holes to post a round of 4-under 67 to win by a shot over Palos Verde’s Rina Kawasaki, Doninia Zhou of Santa Margarita and Ashley Gettleman of Stevenson.
