Davis kills Sonics with pull-up trey

While Davis came through at the end, it was the play of reserve guard Derek Fisher that kept the Warriors close.

Fisher scored a season-high 26 points and carried the Warriors in the fourth quarter with 10 points. In overtime, he scored five points, including a 3-pointer to start the extra period.

Fisher was just three points off his career high of 29 against the Los Angeles Lakers last year.

Ray Allen scored a season-high 35 points for Seattle, but missed a running 3-pointer as time expired.

Tied at 98 after regulation, Allen scored Seattle’s first five points of overtime, then made perfect passes to Nick Collison for a dunk and layup to give Seattle a 107-105 lead with 1:05 left.

Dunleavy made a pull-up jumper to draw even, but Allen and Davis exchanged misses, and Seattle called timeout with 22.9 left.

Allen drove the lane, but his left-handed finger-roll over Adonal Foyle came up short and Foyle grabbed the rebound. Golden State called timeout, setting up Davis’ final shot.

Davis finished with 21 points and 13 assists, but was mostly quiet in the fourth quarter, going scoreless until a lob-dunk on an inbound pass from Fisher with 54 seconds left, giving the Warriors a 96-93 lead.

Allen answered with a 3-pointer to tie, and Fisher made two free throws with 25 seconds left.

Murray then drove the lane and tried to wrap a pass to Collison, but the ball glanced off Foyle and into Jason Richardson’s hands. He was fouled but missed both free throws with 8.2 left.

Seattle called timeout and Murray drove the lane, getting fouled by Davis with 4.2 left. He made both free throws to pull even at 98-all.

Davis missed a tough drive on the Warriors final possession.

Dunleavy and Jason Richardson both finished with 16 for the  Warriors. Richardson carried Golden State early, with 10 points in the first quarter. 

Troy Murphy added 14 points and 14 rebounds and Calbert Chaney scored 10 off the bench. 

Typically mild-mannered and docile coach Bob Weiss picked up two technical fouls within 12 seconds early in the fourth quarter and was ejected, igniting the sluggish Sonics.

Weiss screamed at official Bennie Adams after Danny Fortson was called for a flagrant foul on Davis with 11:10 left, and then went onto the court, yelling at Adams when he called a block on Fortson 12 seconds later. 

Murray added 17 off the bench for Seattle, Collison had 14 and Reggie Evans 13. Rashard Lewis struggled, making just 4 of 17 shots and finished with 12. Seattle shot just 37 percent.
