If you ever dared to doubt “American Exceptionalism,” set your doubts aside. America is a land of opportunity and second chances. It doesn’t matter if you are an insufferable liar, have fascist authoritarian tendencies, incite an insurrection, are abandoned by former political allies, pardon convicted criminals in your inner circle, are a racist, a misogynist, found guilty of sexual assault in civil court, engage in the possibly treasonous mishandling of classified documents while in contact with an adversary of the United States, profit from political office, are a tax cheat, threaten your rivals with violence, take liberties with women who dared get within arms reach, or violate a microphone stand, you can become president of the United States.
Even being a 34 count, convicted felon who evaded further convictions, with a multi-million dollar army of attorneys enlisted to run out the clock, is not a disqualifier. Did I miss anything? I will enjoy wearing my Trump watch, spend my risk-free, Trump cryptocurrency with no fear, gaze fondly at my Trump NFTs, turn my Chinese manufactured Trump Bible right side up as I place it on my bookshelf, and look to my Trump University education to hopefully share in the comfort of tens of millions of my fellow Americans’ whose reality ends at the tips of their noses. The people have spoken and I remain a proud American, until I am threatened to do otherwise.
The big loser was the news media. It ignored Biden's declining mental state until he appeared on television and the entire nation saw he was Elmer Fudd. Right out of the University of Oz school of journalism - pay no attention to the man behind the screen.
If all you say is true there only one answer. The alternative choice was worse. Democrat policies caused the highest inflation in 40 years along with the highest immigration ever. Throw in the Dems social policies and it was a slam dunk for Republicans.
Oh, the screeching has already started, but it's coming from the far left side of the aisle. Looks like we'll be seeing "Four more years!" of caterwauling from those folks...
Just like we had four more years of caterwauling from Fox News, NewsMax, OAN, etc., during the last administration … and four years of caterwauling from MSNBC and CNN during the second to the last administration ,,, and eight years of caterwauling from Fox News “and Friends” during the third to the last administration …. and eight years of caterwauling ………
The problem is America is addicted to caterwauling instead of working together to find solutions.
I was referring to the caterwauling that has already started on the far left, and based on the content in this LTE, it looks like four more years of such cacophony. You know, much like the same way we heard four years of Russian collusion babel. The far left has cranked up its caterwauling since the election... maybe that's one reason MSNBC has lost half of its prime-time viewership. What would you point to support your claim that caterwauling is coming from MSNBC's counterparts?
MAGA WON BIG TIME! Trump gained in 49 states, he gained with hispanics, blacks (best in 48 years), 18-29 year olds etc.. because people who aren't ideologues and emotional snowflakes ignored the rhetoric, the lies, the false Russian Collusion, the racism claims and witnessed the Biden's political persecution and went with a proven winner. It doesn't matter how many times, you, or Cory, or Jorge or Rel spew the same lies, it doesn't make them true.
“ It doesn't matter how many times, you, or Cory, or Jorge or Rel spew the same lies, it doesn't make them true.”
The exact same thing applies to the Republican side - remember your words four years from now… It doesn’t appear to me that any single side has a monopoly on spinning the “facts” to make their side look good.
DavidKristofferson, it appears you don’t understand the definition of “facts.” But as we’ve seen numerous times, you’ve always had the propensity to see what you want to see and not what’s in front of you. The bigger question is whether you’re willing to begin working together to find solutions. Perhaps a Kamala word salad encouragement to help make up your mind, “We will work together, and continue to work together, to address these issues, to tackle these challenges, and to work together as we continue to work operating from the new norms, rules, and agreements, that we will convene to work together…We will work together.”
BTW, how about those dozen or so Trump appointments/nominees thus far? Trump is working together to find solutions… You and others of the Jorgidian cult (hat tip to Not So Common for the descriptor) are always welcome to join us on the Trump train.
I have long said propaganda, misinformation and straight out lying comes from both sides of the aisle... but it looks like more propaganda, more misinformation, and more lying was coming from the Democratic Party leadership over the past three months. Why wouldn't Kamala respond to questions about whether Americans were better off four years ago or when she noticed Joe's mental decline? She didn't want to get caught in a lie.
But there were plenty of other lies coming from the left during the campaign... Looks like you missed the Democratic Party leadership lying to the American public about inflation, migration, crime, and racism. Now, there is now an opportunity for our elected representatives, on both sides of the aisle, to address high prices, immigration reform, public safety, and join the persons of color who stand with the 75 million Americans who rejected the DNC's hand-picked candidate so we can keep fighting the good fight against racism.
Rep. Seth Moulton (D-MA) said Democrats are not listening to everyday Americans. Are you listening?
Cory, thanks for your serving of hysterical screeching. Your meal is lacking, on the bitter side, and tastes oddly of sour grapes yet I find the meal delicious. I’ll excuse your misplaced outrage since you may still be groggy after waking from our nearly 4 year nightmare of Biden/Harris. Might I suggest a Kamala word salad appetizer the next time, such as, “We will work together, and continue to work together, to address these issues, to tackle these challenges, and to work together as we continue to work operating from the new norms, rules, and agreements, that we will convene to work together…We will work together.” So, as Kamala exhorts us, let’s work together.
It sounds like you, and Jorg, need a little more time to heal but I’m proud of you for completing the multiple stages of grief to achieve acceptance. If any of you need more burn cream or a stronger Preparation, let me know and I can arrange to drop ship a tube or a few tubes for your (hopefully not continued) use. Have a blessed day. If you both still feel sorry for Kamala, you can donate to her campaign to shore up her loss of $20 million after blowing $1 billion on her failed campaign. I’m sure she thanks you in advance.
BTW, how about those Trump appointments thus far? I especially like Tom Homan as border czar. Homan can only be successful (TBH, even Cory or Jorg would be successful) as there's no way anyone can do worse than Kamala.
You missed his multiple bankruptcies, and that he still hasn’t paid his half-billion $ fine for one of his multiple rapes. I know, so easy to forget in such a dense forest of misbehavior, as are his bragging and lying about scholastic achievements, golf scores, childish statements about his opponents, and lack of oratory skills, especially compared to President Obama’s.
Looks like you and Cory missed the Democratic Party leadership lying to the American public about inflation, migration, crime, and racism. Joe said early in his term that he wanted to be a unifier... that was a lie, too.
More than 75 million Americans rejected the DNC's hand-picked candidate. A week ago, they answered the question Kamala would not answer... are Americans better off now than they were four years ago?
However, there is now an opportunity for our elected representatives, on both sides of the aisle, to address high prices, immigration reform, public safety, and join the persons of color who stand with those 75 million Americans to keep fighting the good fight against racism. That's how we can come together as a people.
Shortly after last week's election, Rep. Seth Moulton (D-MA) said, “I think Democrats as a party spend too much time preaching, preaching down to people, talking down to folks and telling them this is what you need, this is what you want, rather than just getting out there on the ground and listening to everyday Americans."

Thank you Cory. You are spot on. And poking the (rabid) bear is always good. Let the MAGA screeching begin!

Good morning, Jorg
Cory asked if he missed anything. He did. Lots.
Looks like you and Cory missed the Democratic Party leadership lying to the American public about inflation, migration, crime, and racism. Joe said early in his term that he wanted to be a unifier... that was a lie, too.

Well Cory - I never knew you are such an admirer of Trump. Thank you. Your LTE is, however, like peeing in the wind.
