Continued buyout of San Mateo

Northwood Investors, who have invested in Reimagine Hillsdale, also invested $1 billion in Ballantyne Reimagine, a mixed-use business park in Charlotte, NC in 2018, and their investment is starting to pay off.

Now that they have Measure T, this private equity firm is going to cash in their chips here in San Mateo.

Greystar, landlord of Hillsdale Gardens, just sold $2 billion worth of properties to Blackstone, which made $44 billion dollars in 2023 and has over $1 trillion dollars in assets.

Prometheus, very active in San Mateo, was recently purchased for $10.5 billion.

So San Mateo is being purchased by billionaires, and the YIMBY movement is just an army of private equity soldiers, and they want the whole pie.

These are the people who keep getting tax cuts while our cites and states go broke. Our bridge tolls, PG&E, garbage, food, living expenses all skyrocketing, while the 1% has doubled their already sickening wealth since 2020.

When will we demand the rich pay their share before it’s too late and everything is taken away?
