Editor,

I have a very different take on the world than letter writer Caggiano. The United States is still the most powerful country in the world. Unlike some other nations that believe that appeasement is a viable solution. The Security Council resolution that was recently vetoed pushing for a ceasefire without a return of the hostages was the right decision. Those nations that supported the resolution are the ones who should be embarrassed as they are playing into the hands of Hamas.

Well written, Mr. Stein. You have to wonder why folks such as Caggiano continue to give Hamas a pass for their massacre. As long as they do, it’s very hard to support their stance or their POV.

Thank you for recognizing the reality of the war. If Israel stopped the war before Hamas is destroyed, Hamas would re-arm and start the war again. There is no Palestinian government to negotiate with - just terrorist bent on destroying Israel.
