Owner Geoffroy Raby and server Sarine Tchakmakjian welcome diners to Cuisinett.
Cuisinett, a French bistro and market opened on San Carlos Avenue in 2011, closed its doors for good Thursday with a final push to sell off what remained of the shop’s merchandise.
The shop, opened by Geoffroy Raby, held its final day of service Saturday, Nov. 25. For more than a decade, customers were greeted by a French dining experience similar to the cafes Raby had grown up with and had access to a market where wine, cheese, sweets and other goods were sold.
“Over the past 12 years, we have been honored to be part of the San Carlos community. We’ve built long-lasting memories and we will be forever thankful to our loyal clientele,” Raby wrote in a final message to his customers shared online.
In the message, Raby explained the shop’s lease was near its end and someone had presented an offer to purchase the restaurant. What remained of Cuisinett’s goods were sold off Thursday at a 30% discount.
A new restaurant is expected to open in Cuisinett’s place on Friday, Dec. 1, Raby said. Further details on what the new restaurant will be were not offered.
“I want to thank my employees for the great work they provided over the years. My vendors who continually provided us with the best quality ingredients and my landlord who has been great over all these years,” Raby wrote. “We will take a break and we hope to see you soon in 2024 for some new adventures. Stay tuned!”
