Scott Peterson and the woman who introduced him to his mistress Amber Frey were discussing sexual positions within hours of meeting each other for the first time, according to testimony yesterday in his double murder trial.
Peterson, 31, met Shawn Sibley at a trade show at the Disneyland Hotel in October 2002. The pair had dinner with two men, Peterson's employee Eric Olsen and David Fernandez, who once worked with Olsen at another fertilizer company.
Olsen and Fernandez both took the stand yesterday and awkwardly tried to explain the contents of a conversation between Peterson and Sibley that made both men so uncomfortable that they quickly left the dinner table that night after the topic came up.
"Mainly about sexual positions," Olsen said Peterson and Sibley discussed. "Sexual positions and what he liked and what she liked."
After meeting at the trade show, Sibley and Peterson exchanged phone numbers and Sibley introduced Peterson to Frey several weeks later.

Under cross-examination by defense attorney Pat Harris, Olsen testified that Peterson called him later in December and expressed regret about becoming involved with Frey.
"Scott told you, specifically referencing Shawn Sibley, quote, 'I shouldn't have met her. I did something stupid,'" Harris said.
Fernandez testified that Peterson and Sibley did talk about business at the October dinner.
"Shawn and Scott were having a conversation together. They were talking about possibly doing business together," Fernandez said.
Today is the last day court will be in session until July 6 as the trial is taking a five-day recess for the Fourth of July holiday.
